‘Learn to Fly’ on a Low-Fat Raw Vegan Diet
Well, my wife and I have been eating raw for two years and ten months. The first 13 months we ate a high-fat raw diet and the last 21 months low-fat raw vegan. The difference is quite dramatic. Listed below are just a few of the advantages of eating low-fat raw vegan. I’ll be talking about more of the advantages in future posts.
Exercise
Can you really be considered healthy if you’re not somewhat athletic? We are designed to move. The cardiovascular, blood and lymph systems thrive on movement. One of the major advantages of eating a low-fat diet, is that you crave exercise much more than on a high fat diet. It’s been my experience that fat is an energy sapper. When my fat intake is up there is definitely a decrease in my energy level. Why? Simply put, because fat requires energy to digest. So much energy that you have none left, you don’t feel like doing much at all, the thought of exercise can make you tired. Moral of the story? Keep your meals simple and low-fat, the less energy you’re wasting on digestion the more energy you have for exercise and the things important in your life. Also, if you get depressed, exercise will enhance your overall well-being and promote a positive mental outlook. Exercise is such an essential part of staying healthy. I firmly believe eating low-fat raw vegan, is without a doubt, the only way to continue a regular exercise program throughout a lifetime, where you look forward to your next session with glee, not with drudgery.
Well-being and Vitality
In the almost 3 years that I’ve been raw I’ve been sick maybe twice. Actually, I really don’t even consider it sickness, it was really a detoxification process. My belief is that 99% of all illness is brought on by poor eating habits, which create a toxic internal environment. So called sicknesses like colds, flus and various pains in the body are symptoms of a toxic internal environment. Bacteria and germs thrive in such an environment, they live off these toxins. Actually, colds, flus, pain anywhere in the body, are the body’s way of saying, “It’s time to clean house”. You should welcome your body’s inherent intelligence, and celebrate. Most don’t, they panic, want instant relief and head for the drugs and suppressants. Remember this, the colds, flus, body aches (detoxifying), you have today can save you from a more serious illness in the future, it’s getting rid of toxins. Getting rid of these accumulated toxins that have been in your body for years will allow you to feel better and better as you continue in detoxifying. Suppressing these uncomfortable symptoms, with antibiotics, all kinds of medicines, can drive these toxins, bacteria and germs deeper into your body, only to rear their ugly head later, with a more serious illness. I know it’s not easy to celebrate when your nose is running like a faucet, you have diarrhea, your head feels horrible, your body aches, you’ve got pimples and skin eruptions, but, if you can see the big picture and how you’ll benefit in the long run, you’ll get through it. However, a change to a more plant based diet is necessary to prevent these detox symptoms from recurring. In the process you’ll lose excess weight, experience clearer sinuses, improved breathing, better sleep, clearer skin, less mucous discharge, increased energy, and heightened mental clarity.
Personally, I really ate lousy for 58 years unbeknown-est to me until I stumbled across Low-Fat Raw Vegan. I’m still in the process of cleaning house and it’s been quite a revelation. My advice is, if you’re young, go LFRV now! Don’t wait! If you’re older your health will improve dramatically. Ninety year olds have benefited from LFRV. The last time I had a detox episode was 8 months ago and I think I’m past the worst. These detox episodes become less and less and eventually non-existent once the body’s internal environment is cleaned up. I’ve heard of people on LFRV that have not been sick in 25 years.
