Is Eating Raw Less Expensive Than Eating Cooked?

Is eating raw less expensive than eating cooked?  Some say yes, some say no.  For my wife and I it has been less expensive.  We used to eat a lot of meat, fish, chicken, and always tried to eat free range organic if possible, and it gets very pricey when you’re on a steady diet of animal products.  Then there were my addictions to the health food store so-called, healthy organic chocolate almonds, organic cookies, organic pizzas with whole grain crusts, sulfite free wine and beer.  All of this adds up fast, these items are not cheap.

So for us eating raw has been better financially.  Do we eat all organic?  If we can absolutely, it’s definitely something we’re into.  On the other hand, if it’s not available we will eat non-organic.  I feel that eating non-organic raw is better than eating organic cooked.  Also, there are places where you can get fruits and vegetables from backyard growers, that are not certified organic but still NO herbicides or pesticides have been used.  To find these places just punch in local fruit and vegetable growers in your area on the internet and I’m sure you’ll find some healthy food at reasonable prices.

Make the RAW lifestyle delicious!
